The Kunsthaus Zug collection comprises around 10,000 works and represents a high-caliber art collection of regional, national and international importance. The opening of the Kunsthaus Zug Schaudepot on the historic V-Zug site creates new space for storing and encountering art.
Works of art are stored on over 700 square meters and presented in changing exhibitions.The focus is on sculpture and plastic art, with works by renowned artists such as Jo Achermann, Hans Aeschbacher, Trudi Demut, Olafur Eliasson, Bethan Huws, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, Katharina Sallenbach, Roman Signer, Fritz Wotruba and many more.
In addition to art and art education programs, events will explore the genius loci of the site with industry, housing, research, culture and urban development in the urban district of Zug.
The Schaudepot is part of the Kunst Cluster Zug, which is made up of:Verein Atelier63, Verein Film Zug, Quartierverein Guthirt and Tech Cluster Zug AG. It is generously supported by Tech Cluster Zug as well as the canton and city of Zug.
