The landslide is also impressive. Every year on 2 September, in the afternoon at five o'clock, the big bell of the Goldau parish church rings. This commemorates the terrible natural disaster of 1806. Within a few minutes, a gigantic mass of debris buried the valley between Rigi and Rossberg.
